State Representative Melanie Miller, alongside the Ohio Pro-Life Caucus, organized a meet and greet event at the Ohio Statehouse. The gathering took place ahead of the annual March for Life and included legislators, pregnancy center leaders, Students for Life groups, and various pro-life organizations from both state and national levels.
"It is a beautiful day to be celebrating life here at the Statehouse," said Miller. "Our work protecting the unborn and promoting a culture of life is never done. On days like today, it is important for us to gather, reflect, and reaffirm the significance of what we are doing. Every life matters, and together we continue to advocate for the most vulnerable among us."
The event featured remarks from Rep. Miller along with a policy update. Attorney General Dave Yost provided a legal overview in conjunction with Mrs. Darlene Yost. Savannah Marten also shared her perspective as leader of the Ohio Coalition of Pregnancy Centers. According to this coalition's 2022 report, pregnancy centers have offered over $5 million in education and support services to mothers and families across Ohio.
Founded by State Representative Jena Powell in 2021, the Ohio Pro-Life Caucus aims to advocate for policies that support women and children in Ohio. In the next General Assembly session, Rep. Melanie Miller will assume the role of chairperson for this caucus.
