Ashland County Cancer Association Rummage Sale Beats All Previous Records!!
Yesterday day was the last day of the Ashland County Cancer Association Rummage Sale at the Ashland County Fairgrounds. This year’s Rummage Sale finished by breaking all previous year’s records of most donated, most attended, most money raised, along with most volunteers making this year the best one yet.
Ashland County Cancer Association Director, Angela Woodward said, “I am amazed by the magnitude of community support. The people of Ashland gave two semi-trailers full of fabulous donations, and over 100 community members volunteered, helping to make this event a success. Not to mention the 1,500 people who supported the event by attending the sale.
“Over $28,000 was raised at this three-day event,” commented Angela Woodward, “I love that every dollar stays in Ashland County. These funds aid us in serving our neighbors, family, and friends across the county with cancer. Thank you, to all who were involved in making this event a huge success!”
Jeromesville United Methodist Church served patrons and provided free lunches to all-volunteer workers!
Over 100 volunteers donated more than 2,000 hours over the past week at the three-day event.
