City of Mansfield issued the following announcement on Nov. 17.
Mayor Tim Theaker and Parks and Recreation Manager Mark Abrams are pleased to announce the City of Mansfield’s very first Light Up Mansfield Holiday Light Decorating Contest. Get into the holiday spirit with a friendly, fun and festive competition. In order to be a part of Mansfield’s first Light Up Mansfield Holiday Light Decorating Contest contestants will have to enter their home to be registered on our map of local light displays. Please register your home's light display by Dec. 10, 2020, to be included on our local map. Follow this link: https://forms.gle/dTQdNeUNB8E1VyW28 to our Goggle form to register your home's light display. This form and information will be on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/mansfieldparksandrecreation.
There will be three prizes!
$100 cash prize for Best Overall Display - sponsored by the Mansfield United Lions Club
$50 cash prize for Brightest Display - sponsored by American Graphics
$50 cash prize for Most Creative Display - sponsored by We ACT
A list of addresses, including the winners, will be available on our Facebook page starting Dec. 17, 2020. Winners will be determined by the prize sponsors and city officials. This is a safe way to still have some holiday cheer during these times of a global Pandemic.
