State Rep. Melanie Miller | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Melanie Miller recently welcomed Miss Ohio 2024, Stephanie Finoti, to the Ohio Statehouse. In a ceremony held in the House Chamber, Miller honored Finoti with a formal commendation.
The recognition highlighted Finoti's year of service and achievements, which include her nonprofit work through That STEM Girl and her placement as 4th runner-up at the Miss America competition.
“The Miss Ohio and Miss America Scholarship programs empower young women like Stephanie to pursue higher education, grow as leaders, and advocate for causes close to their hearts,” said Miller. “Stephanie is a shining example of what it means to lead with purpose and inspire the next generation to follow their dreams.”
Representative Miller also acknowledged candidates competing for the titles of Miss Ohio 2025 and Miss Ohio’s Teen 2025. She emphasized the leadership and service that these programs continue to foster.
Miller has personal ties to the program; she was crowned Miss Ohio in 2006. This experience influenced her dedication to public service and community leadership.
