From March 10, 2023 post.

Crawford County is not in the advisory area.  This information is being provided for situational awareness for northern Ohio and PA

What to expect:

Snow is ongoing across the area this morning and will become focused across Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania by this afternoon.

There will be a tight north-south gradient in snow accumulations as the rain/snow line shifts northward for a time on Friday

Snowfall rates up to 1" per hour are possible in the Winter Storm Warning.

Given the relatively-high sun angle in early March, snow will accumulate best on grassy and elevated surfaces. There is uncertainty regarding the degree of melting and compaction of snow through the event.

What has changed:

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for inland Erie County Pennsylvania from 7 AM this morning to 7 AM Saturday.

The snowfall forecast has been lowered slightly in the Advisory area and raised in the Winter Storm Warning area of Northwest Pennsylvania.

Latest Duration for the Winter Weather Advisory:

Lucas, Wood, Hancock, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca Counties through 1 PM EST Today

Erie (OH), Huron, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Medina, Summit, Lake, Geauga, Portage, Ashtabula, Trumbull,  Erie (PA), and Crawford (PA) counties through 7 AM Saturday
