Ashland Police Division Looking for Runaway UPDATE: Found Safe | Pexels

On February 6, 2023, Ashland County Sheriff’s Office Deputies & Columbus Missing Persons Division along with search dogs searched a half mile radius near the intersection of Sullivan Township Rd. 350 and Township Rd 581 for missing Renee Lynne Benedetti a 40-year-old woman from North Columbus.
No evidence was discovered in that area.
Although, a cell phone was found days after the search and turned into the Sheriff’s Office which was then turned over to Columbus Detectives, no word if it was Benedetti’s or not.
Benedetti’s body was found in a Brown County Landfill, Georgetown, Ohio on Wednesday.
Columbus Police have arrested Gene Scott Jr., Benedetti's boyfriend and charged him with murder.
