Shop with a Cop Silent Auction

SHOP WITH A COP SILENT AUCTION

On Sunday, November 13th, 2022, O’Bryan’s Pub was filled with eager community members who were anxiously awaiting the end of the Brown’s game. The annual Shop with a Cop silent auction was held. Each year, first responders across Ashland County take less fortunate children shopping during Christmas time. Each child is allowed a certain amount to buy whatever they desire and they also buy a toy to donate to other children. (Such a cool thing!!) The silent auction is a fundraiser that occurs throughout the year and seems to be the crowd favorite.

Bidders checked out 117 different baskets and prizes, strategically placing their bets. As time crunched down, people packed the auction room in hopes of winning.

Throughout the day, many folks donated money on top of their auction wins. This included a group that surprised the auction's workers. The Lemonade Littles, Amslee (7), Sam (7), and Kellan (9), decided to begin raising money for charity. They have been working at a lemonade stand all summer. (Per one of the "littles" mother, they worked a stand for over 12 hours at a huge function!!) Amslee and Kellan arrived to donate what they raised, $1,250!!! Unfortunately, Sam could not attend the auction.

Through the generous hearts of our community members and business owners, $9,306.19 was raised!!!!!! Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude.

A HUGE thank you goes out to all of the businesses that donated items for the baskets. Without their contributions, none of this would be possible.
