Ashland Evening Lions Club Presented a check for $25,000 to Dale Roy School

President Seth Gasche & 1st Vice President Tim Kershner of the Ashland Evening Lions Club presented a check for $25,000, to Dale Roy School, to assist with their capital campaign, for the “Together Playground”.

The current playground had been well loved for many years; and was ready for replacement. Dale Roy serves both children, and adults in our Ashland community, with special needs. The new equipment promises to not disappoint, with the latest and best design, to serve more students this coming fall than ever before.

Dale Roy School Director of Education, Shannon Lange said, “When we decided to renovate the Dale-Roy School playground, we took a leap of faith, hoping the community would support us to raise the remaining funds we needed. We were humbled to learn that the Ashland Evening Lions Club decided to generously donate $25,000, so that we would reach our fundraising goal.”

“We are so very grateful that they recognized, that the students we serve, deserve an accessible and updated playground. The playground will bring joy to all who use it for many years to come. Thank you! Ashland Evening Lions Club.”

Ashland Evening Lions Club President Seth Gasche commented to the audience, “The men and women before you today have worked tirelessly to fundraise for others, so that each and every day someone else’s life may be impacted, in a positive way, from their labor of love. As Lions, we rise to the occasion and roar when someone is in need; and we couldn’t think of a better project than Dale Roy School’s Together Playground.”
