Cost of college went up for all students at Ashland University

Tuition and fees rose 3.1 percent for 2018-19 at Ashland University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio students paid $21,342 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $642 more than the $20,700 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 586 students received grants or scholarships totaling $7.3 million and 507 students took out student loans totaling more than $4.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (6,627), 3,157 students used grants or scholarships totaling $32.1 million, and 2,093 students took out $15.3 million in federal student loans.
